       Much of inspiration is information; therefore, to make one's self available to receive a mission call requires providing adequate and appropriate information.  In our situation on March 16, 2014 after we submitted as much information as we could via the internet, we received the following message:                    

    "Congratulations! Your missionary recommendation forms have been submitted to your priesthood leader. Thank you for your willingness to serve the Lord as a missionary.                                                                                          

    "Soon, you will meet with your priesthood leader to review your recommendation. 

Bishop Thad Smith, our Placid Rose Ward Bishop,
helped us diligently to finalize all of the paperwork .

You will then meet with your stake president for a final interview. Once your stake president submits your recommendation to Church headquarters, it will go through a review process and a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will make your mission assignment.                       

Herriman Utah South Stake President, Daniel Smith.  Although we hardly
know Pres. Smith, the Spirit has born witness to us that there is not a better
Stake President in all the world. He has worked tirelessly to help us.

   

















"You should receive your call by mail five to six weeks after your stake president submits your recommendation to Church headquarters."                       

     On March 23, 2014 our stake president submitted our recommendation and the NEXT day, Mar. 24, 2014, we received a telephone call saying that there was concern for Bonnie's health since some of her medical tests had revealed a small but worrisome aberration.  That meant that the process was on hold until the matter was totally clear.  After many, many visits to various physicians and after many, many more tests, the final word at the beginning of July 2014 came that her health is FINE.  On July 3, 2014 the process began again to move forward.

Our Home Teachers, Curtis Cannon & Ron Dickerson, have been
 wonderfully supportive as we have waited & waited.
